In 2015, Skype was acquired by Microsoft and is now owned by the company. The company also renamed itself to Skype Technologies Sdn Bhd.
The company has launched a new app called Skype for Business which is an online collaboration platform. It allows users to create live video conferences and share whiteboard notes.
Now, you don’t need to download Skype for the desktop version anymore. You can simply use the Skype app on your smartphone or tablet.
